Image: 1. Internal Memory if you have more than 2. Torrent Download: magnet:? So what will Garmin do when it will no longer fit? It remains to be seen. My had a SD card in it when I last updated. GE gave me the DA. Thanks for the file. I had no problem downloading with firefox. Posters who are having issues should try a different browser.

Chrome is generally a good option. I didn't use the option to download to the cloud or to use Mega's download tool. I downloaded using my browser. Near the end of the download I had to confirm download via a browser pop up.

Thank you Strephon! Works perfectly on my t. Welcome to POI Factory. I saw your original request over on GPS Review forum Stick around here at POI Factory for a while You don't say in your profile where you are from, but if you are in North America, you will find the POI file downloads invaluable.

Thanks for the welcome alandb. Have always enjoyed participating on the GPS Review forum and will be doing so here too. I have the DA. The previous jcv files that I have listed as disabled, can I delete them? But it's always nice to copy them to a hard drive at least for a short time even though you've already done the smart move of disabling them first and seeing that all's well.

You will have one jcv file for your City Navigator North America and all others are for older maps that I am assuming are no longer there in the nuvi or on the SD card. I did copy the 3 old disabled JCV files to my desktop. Then deleated the 3 old files from my SD card. I added 2. More room for something. In BaseCamp, I have maps dating back to Don't know why I keep them.

I assume they are on my desk top computer. Big hard drive. Thanks CraigW. Me too. It's sorta fun now and then to zoom into some location in the computer, then swap between maps to see road or built-in POI changes I also keep one, the immediate last map as well.

Remember they do use a fair amount of space at about 3. It may slow your computer down a tad since to find anything it must also search through these unused map files. Downloaded the large JCV and pasted it into the and did a simulated run on a nearby multilane highway. It still only gives me the split screen. So I deleted it and went back to the version Garmin installed at half the kb's. As far as I can imagine, the only way this will happen is if the split screen jcv file is still present and not disabled.

I suggest doing a scan of the entire nuvi for all. Was it replaced in some cases with the approach lane arrows? Ok so they are sanctioned but for what models? No readme in the rar file. You certainly can't load all of them. What a headache. And will pass on using it, what I get now works well enough. And, the read was not too.. I watched as they got their coffee to see if they added a donut to their order and they each did. Love of donuts must be at least a full North American trait of law enforcement.

I downloaded all 4 files. The download was easy and worked exactly as expected. I tested the DA. I then added the other 3 JCV files and re-ran the same routes. I did not see any changes to junction views after adding the additional files. Since it appears that Garmin did not significantly alter the size of the split screen JCV file download, it does not seem reasonable that Garmin would have intentionally modified the full screen file download to include more than 1. Today in a different area i got full screen exit ramp view.

I'm not sure what to make of it. It shows me full screen exit. Compared to yesterday where i didn't get that but instead approach lane arrows and no junction view.

In the end its way different but i'm ok with it. Thanks computerperson! That definitely makes sense and is consistent with earlier JCV variations we have discussed in the past. Quite perceptive and funny. I made a separate post for the download. And I also have a question.. Would it be Illegal to have those JCV avaiable on this web site so people can get from here?

After all this web site as been very beneficial to Garmin for many year. The large JCV file is now being offered for download:. It has been reported a couple of times that offering files like the large JCV file is acceptable by Garmin and therefore not illegal.

However, I doubt that The POI Factory is set up to offer a nearly 1GB file for downloading without causing access problems to us regular users checking for POI files or forum messages although that's just my guess. I've not downloaded from the currently offered site thanks to the upload by our Strephon but gather from what I read here that it's a good site for big downloads like this. I have2 JVC folders in the internal storage, one in.

I do not have a. Now I read that you just create a JVC floder for the file, but what about the. I am not sure what you are asking, as both Garmin Express and Map Updater will put the. This is true whether or not a SD card is required. However, if you are manually installing the. When you want to follow a link - but still keep your current page open - you can hold down the "Ctrl" key as you left-click on a link. That action will open a new "Tab" in your browser up on the "Tab" bar.

When you then left-click on that new "Tab", you will follow the link - leaving the "Tab" you are now reading open and available to click on and return here.

So, using the "Learn" link, you might try the "Ctrl" - left-click sequence and then return here. You can return by either "X-ing" out of the "Getting Started" page using the "X" on the "Tab" itself or just left-clicking on the "Tab" for the page you are on right now. The first link makes sure the settings on your computer are such that you can do more advanced POI loading. The next link helps you make a backup of your GPS by attaching it to your computer. It also assures that you put your newer unit into a state where you can see all of the folders there.

I've been a lurker for quite some time. I think close to 3. Only recently joined. Dad always said 'keep your mouth shut if you've got nothing to say'. Most problems and questions I've had with my LMT, others here have already solved or resolved them for me. I've just got to find all of them Even found a link here a few years back I think pointing out how to modify the Dashboard, which I've already done, cool! Thanks for posting the large.

Can anyone of you tech savy guys provide me with a step by step procedure to update mapset to I've done updates in the past but it's been so long since I last accomplished that I'm more than a bit rusty on proper procedure I don't want to screw things up by charging ahead going from past memory of what I did. The easiest way to install a map to your SD card on a 14xx device is to use Garmin Express. Start Garmin Express, select your device, and you should be prompted to start the map update.

Express will say you have insufficient storage for the full map, and give you some options. Select the option to install to SD, and follow the instructions from there. Does anyone know the folder path for the where I can manually delete the old junction view file and replace it with the file provided on this thread? I'm still not clear on large Jcv file Thanks again for your help. It's in. Your supports "split screen" junction views and therefore has the full Junction View file already installed.

Replacing the installed file with the Large Full Screen file being discussed here will provide you with no more "views" than you already have. Also note that the split screen views on your device allow you to see the "view" and the road map at one time while the full screen "views" take up the whole screen so you lose the map screen while the "view" is being displayed. Also the split screen view will stay on the screen until the maneuver being displayed has been completed, while the full screen view appears for a few seconds and then disappears before you actually make the maneuver being displayed.

The second file will automatically extract with the first. No definitive answer can be offered without further tests by someone with a who's willing to try both JCV files and run some tests. All in all, as long as one saves the original JCV file provided with map updates, there's no harm in downloading and substituting the large JCV file. If undesirable as experienced by most folks with split-screen display devices , just go back to the Garmin-provided file. I extracted 1st file as you suggested..

What I'm curious about is how extracting 1st file automatically extracts the 2nd file as well. The program knows that the original file was split and patches it back into one.
