Sometimes your torrent client will accidentally be set to use a listening port that is blocked or in use by another program.
Port forwarding errors used to cause so many problems for me. All traffic on the listen port needs to be forwarded to the device running your torrent client. Typically we recommend using a VPN instead of a proxy for the encryption. Others prefer the one-time setup with no extra software required. The setup process can be a bit tricky, and in some cases could lead to torrents not downloading at all. Try setting it up from scratch again.
You may need to open the port manually port for many services. Try enabling DHT in your client settings. QBittorrent had crashed. When I restarted it, more than a hundred previously completed torrents were paused, and when resumed began rechecking themselves, showing They quickly finished, when there were seeds, but quite a few aren't being supported currently. They show a completed date earlier this year, Commenting to follow.
I am also having this same issue. Just updated to 4. Windows 8. Windows 10 Pro. Sadly this issue continues on, I have v4. Started random but now its every single file its about to complete, so I have to force recheck.
Strangeness continues though, after force recheck they go complete and seeding but now I am finding random files that have audio out of sync, clearly missing part was still missing on a few titles and verified by redownloading these and they play fine after a couple attempts.
I'm still experiencing this issue. Same issue affecting all my torrents, and If I don't force re-check, the video files tend to have some parts missing, causing skipping during playback.
Same issue affecting all torrents. This deserves more attention! Just downloaded qbittorent to my seedbox and after adding 20 torrents 8 had this issue. Forgot to say, Raspberry PI 4 with newest debian buster release and qBittorrent 4. Like half of torrents I download are affected. Quite annoying. Saving to non-raid smb drive.
I still can't find a pattern when it happens. Happens more often when system runs longer. Might be subjective though as powercycles don't happen too often. Having the same issue running Ubuntu It says Seeding have to force a recheck to complete the download.
It just happened to me as well, Windows 10x64 version This is happening to me after dropping the 3. This is the case for several torrents, not just one. Recheck immediately marks as "complete. Please, if you haven't, provide your download locations in relation to the machine running qBittorrent.
It looks like this might be something to do with SMB, or some implementation of it. Also, the steps to reproduce in the OP are not useful, because many thousands of people do exactly that, and it works fine for them. Currently I run qbittorrent and save the files on a USB-connected drive, and I have not seen the issue in a very long time over a year.
WoW, 2 years and it is still a bug Having the same issues. But for really large downloads multiple files I need to re-check it multiple times.
By sa , March 2, in Troubleshooting. I'm using utorrent 2. I recently discovered a movie that I downloaded was skipping fairly rthymically ie, every 20 seconds , and it would pause, but the audio would play. The frame would then skip, and catch up to the audio. I'm playing these files through a hardware media player. I tried a variety of things, recopied, local playback versus network, even played on local pc with media player - same thing.
I'm seeing this more and more with both my public and private sites. Only 2. Maybe you have a program that modifies the files like a media player changing the tags in mp3s. I had this problem with utorrent 2. I just updated to 2. Only torrents with multiple files were affected though; torrents with few files and without directories were fine. I noticed it when I downloaded two CDs in flac: one was single CD image in flac and cue sheet and it was fine; another CD was set of tracks in flac and cue sheet as well as some artwork and this one had zeros in some files.
Forced recheck solves the problem however I don't think this is elegant solution. Yeah, same problem with utorrent 2.
Just downloaded Looks like files are not flushed to disk time to time. Too bad nobody seems to care. You aren't downloading to an SSD are you?
